Mobup: it’s new release time!

We recently released a new version of Mobup (download it here) which marks the entrance in a new subversion, the 6th in a year or so.

We haven’t added any hypening functionality but concentraed ourselves in listening to our users: bugs fixing, device compatibility and usability related functions that Mobup users suggested by email or on our development site.

The whole 0.5 series will be dedicated to this kind of stuff, but interesting things are coming up for the next major release.

Till then, start mobupping your phone shots now.

Idearium: new season now online

Idearium is the premiere interaction design online magazine in Italy; since year 2001 the site has gathered a strong community of designers, usability experts, managers, programmers and smart people and it has its derivations in the Interaction Frontiers event organized by your truly and Leeander (the founder of Idearium).

The islet will be properly open during Turin Barcamp 06, just click on this SLurl and join the party.

Speaking at the World Usability Day

As previously posted, tomorrow I’ll be at the Bicocca University premises to hold a small talk at the World Usability Day 2007 (see details about the event). I’ll present UXnet - the User Experience related org I represent in Milan - introducing WHAT it is and HOW it can practically help other organizations.

Set your agenda on November 14th from 10.00am to 2.00pm (CET+1), Marco Martini Room, U6 building - Milano-Bicocca University. There’s also going to be a live webcast so you can follow the talks from your computer; stay tuned on the event official web site.

Linden Lab mission

Here’s a truly inspiring quote from Linden Lab mission statement recently posted on their blog:

“We are working to create an online world having the exceptional property that it advances the capabilities of the many people that use it, and by doing so affects and transforms them in a positive way”

Well: good luck guys! Hope you (WE) are going to succeed!
